A relatively obscure supernova remnant, CTB1, is located in the constellation of Cassiopeia very near M52. Also known as Abell 85, the SNR is rich in Hydrogen Alpha gas. After the discovery of a radio source in this super nova remnant it was given the designation of CTB1.
